Terms of Service | WP Hockey Predictor

      Quick Summary: WP Hockey Predictor provides data-driven NHL Over/Under and expected Goals For (xGF) predictions. By using our service, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully before purchasing a prediction pass.
    

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WP Hockey Predictor at wphp.ca (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

WP Hockey Predictor is a probability-based prediction tool that generates Over/Under and expected Goals For (xGF) analyses for NHL games. Predictions are calculated using recent scoring trends, home/away splits, consensus sportsbook lines, and expected goals modelling.

      Not a Crystal Ball: Our predictions are statistical estimates, not guarantees. No model can predict the outcome of any NHL game with certainty. WP Hockey Predictor does not guarantee the accuracy of any prediction or O/U call. Hockey is inherently unpredictable — use our tool as one data point among many.
    

3. Account & Authentication

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service beyond the first free daily prediction.
We use Google Sign-In (Google Identity Services) for authentication. We do not store your Google password.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Google account on our Service.
You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate any person or entity.

4. Prediction Passes & Payment

Free Tier: One free prediction per day, no account required.
Day Pass ($2.99 CAD): Unlimited predictions for the calendar day of purchase. Expires at midnight Eastern Time.
30-Day Pass ($9.99 CAD): Unlimited predictions for 30 days from the date of purchase. This is a one-time, non-recurring payment — there is no automatic renewal. After 30 days, your pass expires and you may purchase a new one if you wish to continue.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. WP Hockey Predictor never stores your credit card information. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

5. Daily Prediction Emails

When purchasing a 30-Day Pass, you may opt in to receive daily O/U prediction emails for every NHL game day. These emails are sent from wphockeypredictor@gmail.com. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. Opting out of emails does not affect your access to the prediction tool on wphp.ca.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our predictions without written permission.
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service or extract data.
Attempt to circumvent payment requirements or access controls.
Share your account access or prediction pass with others.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers and networks.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.

7. Not Gambling Advice

      Important: WP Hockey Predictor is an informational and entertainment tool only. We do not provide gambling advice, betting tips, or recommendations to wager money. Our predictions are statistical analyses — how you use them is entirely your own decision and responsibility. If you choose to place bets based on our predictions, you do so at your own risk. Please gamble responsibly and in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
    

8. Intellectual Property

All content on WP Hockey Predictor — including the prediction engine, algorithms, website design, branding, and text — is the property of WP Hockey Predictor. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission. NHL team names and logos are trademarks of the National Hockey League and its member clubs.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that predictions will be accurate. We make no guarantees about the reliability of any third-party data sources (including the NHL API or sportsbook lines) used in our prediction engine.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WP Hockey Predictor and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, losses from reliance on predictions, financial losses from gambling, or damages from service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for your most recent prediction pass.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication), Stripe (payments), the NHL API (game data), and The Odds API (sportsbook lines). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service. If your access is terminated due to a violation on your part, you are not entitled to a refund.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to check back periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
